Scientific Name: Casuarius casuarius
Southern Cassowary at Reptile Park, Somersby, NSW. These birds are native to the tropical rainforests in Far North Queensland. Australia is in it's southern range as it is also found in New Guinea. Not a bird you would wish to see in a rainforest as the lump on its head is not ornamental.
